At a recent meeting in Los Angeles conducted by the Citizens Advisory Committee to the Attorney General on Crime Prevention, Lou Greenspan, executive director of the Motion Picture Industry Council brought out that motion pictures do not have an adverse influence on "normal healthy" children. Dr. J Andrew White, one of the committee members charged that "The Wild Ones" which starred Marlon Brando, was "hoodlumish of the highest order" depicting bad conduct on the part of teen agers which apparently it is desirable to emulate." Lou Greenspan retorted "I happen to be a Bible student and the Bible is replete with stories of violence, crime and sex diviation. Should we take the Bible away from children?" Dr White countered him with "Oh, that's old hat and you know it." Greenspan responded "It's not old hat. I've been in this business 40 years and I've never heard of you. I can't say as much for your dialogue!"

MICHIGAN NUDISTS DECLARED NOT OBSCENE BY HIGH COURT. Michigan Supreme Court Justice John Voelker was outraged when he learned four carloads of flatfect had raided a nudist camp "descending upon these unsuspecting souls like storm troopers, herding them before clicking cameras like plucked chickens." (This action) was "indecent--indeed the one big indecency we can find in this whole case." Judge Voelker showed little sympathy for one of the cops who swore out a warrant that he was "the aggrieved victim of an indecent exposure." The court went on to say "It seems that we are now prepared to burn down the house of constitutional safeguards in order to roast a few nudists. I will have none of it".
